Fitness and Wellness
This topic has been my main topic of interest for the past couple years now.
For me, fitness primarily looks like going to the gym and eating healthy. The gym is something I commit to 6 days a week. Around February, I started running the following split (mon-sat): legs, pull, push, legs, pull, push. Every Sunday I would do a spin (cycling) class until they recently cancelled it (tragic). Now, Sundays usually are a rest day or whatever else I feel like. This might sound like a heavy schedule but I try my best to listen to by body and be flexible. I recognize that not every week looks the same.
Something that really got me into going to the gym initially was participating in workout classes with my best friend. This is a very great method because you have someone to hold you accountable and have fun with (its a lot more fun when you're not on your own).
Apart from that, my motivation for fitness comes from the idea that you are forcing yourself to do something difficult nearly every day. There are not many other things that are so consistenyly difficult in day to day life. Being comfortable with the uncomfortable is simply something I want to live by. Furthermore, especially going into computer engineering, I find it pretty much necessary to be fit. Working at a computer all day will not provide the neccessary stimulation for your body.
Regarding food, I am all for eating clean. Nowadays, grocery stores give you such easy access to lots of different junk. It's your responsibility to take care of what you put into your body.
I don't know what else to write here for now because I just wanted to write at least one blog post... When i have more concrete points or ideas I will update this!
